The Southern California Council of Charitable Gift Planners holds four General Meetings each year which are like attending a half-day conferen ce on gift planning. Attendees benefit from hearing two differen t presentations. Come learn the latest concepts and techniques to help your donors or clients make planned gifts that meet their financial and philant hropic goals. Sessions may inclu de facilitated breakouts so you can engage with your fellow attendees.

Meet the Speakers
< table border="0">And y Ragone is a national speaker, writer and recognized thought lead er in marketing and gift planning strategies for Pleiades Nonprofit Advisor s. Formerly of Crescendo Interactive, Andy advises on systematic marketing and moves-management techniques to secure complex and estate gifts. Through his efforts, nonprofits both large and small benefit from his insight and unique talent of bringing gift planners and their donors together to make a difference in the communities they serve. In addition to being a Certified Gift Planning Professional (CGPP), Andy holds a BA in Music from Arizona S tate University and a Master of Divinity from Phoenix Seminary. He is a mem ber of the Southern California Counsel of Gift Planners, and is a regular p resenter on best practices in Gift Planning. Andy has served as an executiv e pastor and has a marketing background in the nonprofit arena. Having work ed with three larger churches over the past 20+ years, Andy has appreciated the challenges of growing organizations - including the development of sta ff and culture, fundraising, volunteer coordination, and marketing systems. Andy brings a big-picture perspective that brings vision, volunteerism and fund development together.

Kimberly Jetton is a n ational award-winning leader in fund development and gift planning. She has a proven ability to develop outstanding relationships with donors, committ ees, board members, and volunteers. As President of Pleiades Nonprofit Advi sors, she helps clients navigate and excel in their gift planning programs. From 2020 to 2022, Kimberly served as President and Executive Director of the Orange Catholic Foundation and lead the foundation into a new era of fu ndraising, designed and implemented a long-term strategic plan and develope d a reinvigorated business model. Prior to Kimberly's time at OCF, she work ed in development for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the A rchdiocese Denver. During her tenure at the Archdiocese of Los Angeles as t he Director of Planned Giving, she designed and implemented a flagship prog ram for Estate Planning Seminars which greatly benefited the parishes and s chools. In the first 5 years, this program helped secure over $110 million for these ministries through 300+ seminars. Kimberly is a Cert ified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), holds a Master in Nonprofit Management from Regis University and a BA in Political Science from the University of Arizona, and is a veteran of the Colorado Army National Guard. She serves a s a board member of Southern California Charitable Gift Planners, Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles and is a Development Committee Memb er of the Catholic Community Foundation of Los Angeles.

Continuin g Education
SoCalCGP is approved as continuing education provider #3889 of MCLE credit by the State Bar of California and designated this activity for a maximum of 2.0 hours of credit. SoCalGP is a lso approved for CFRE continuing education credits. Full participation in t he General Meeting is applicable for 2.0 points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or rec ertification.
An application for continuing edu cation credits for CFP® is submitted when the course content is within the CFP® Board guidelines.
Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits for CPAs through the California Board of Accountanc y are self-reported and it is the obligation of each licensee to select a c ourse of study consistent with CBA requirements.
