2011 WRPGC Scholarship Opportunities
The Partnership for Philanthropic Planning of Greater Los Angeles will offer professional scholarships for the 2011 Western Regional Planned Giving Conference to be held June 1-3 at the Westin South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California as follows:
- Three professional scholarships will provide free conference registration to current members valued at $295 per scholarship ($295 is the early bird membership registration rate).
- Scholarship does not include a hotel room ($145 per night).
Scholarship Criteria
Applicants for the professional scholarship must demonstrate that they meet all of the following criteria:
1) Current member in good standing of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning of Greater Los Angeles.
2) Provide a brief statement (1 paragraph) describing how conference participation will be beneficial to applicant and their organization.
3) Be one of the following:
Employee of a not-for-profit organization.
Working in an allied profession (attorney, financial planner, accountant, etc.).
Currently seeking employment in any of the fields above.
Board member or other volunteer at a not-for-profit organization.
4) Please list any PPP-LA meetings, mini-Round Table events, or committees you have participated in. If you are new to PPP-LA and have not had a chance to participate, please indicate that as well, thank you.
5) Only one individual from an organization may be awarded a scholarship.
6) Not a previous recipient of a PPP-LA scholarship.
7) Be willing to give back to PPP-LA with volunteer service on a PPP-LA committee. Volunteer service – to be mutually agreed upon – will commence upon acceptance of scholarship. Your acknowledgement and acceptance to volunteer on application is highly preferred.
