Information on our organization
Planned Giving Roundtable of Southern California is now Partnership for Philanthropic Planning of Greater Los Angeles
In January 2009, the National Committee on Planned Giving became known as the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, making new opportunities for education and collaboration available to everyone involved in charitable gift planning. The Partnership remains the only national organization dedicated to improving both the quality and the quantity of philanthropic planning. Expanding beyond wills and trusts, the organization focuses on all of the people, tools, values and best practices that work together to make charitable giving most meaningful.
As an affiliated council of the Partnership, the organization formally known as the Planned Giving Roundtable of Southern California, has become the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning of Greater Los Angeles. Our name has changed, but who we are and what we represent has not changed. Our mission remains the same:
- We are a community dedicated to increasing philanthropy through charitable gift planning.
- We are a definitive resource for charitable gift planning information.
- We are a network for building meaningful relationships within the philanthropic community.
Our History
The
Partnership for Philanthropic Planning of Greater Los Angeles, PPP-LA, is
a community increasing philanthropy through charitable gift
planning. We are governed by a Board
of Directors with various committee members.
Founded in 1980, the PPP-LA was one of the
first planned giving associations in this country and provided
the blueprint for the many others that have formed since. Its
early mission was to serve the educational and networking
needs of the planned giving professional from San Diego to Santa
Barbara. As
one of the largest councils affiliated with the National Committee
on Planned Giving (NCPG), the PPP-LA continues to be one of the
most dynamic and innovative councils in the country. Partnership for Philanthropic Planning of Greater Los Angeles Past Presidents
Today, the PPP-LA maintains an active membership base of 300
gift planning professionals from the greater Los Angeles area.
In addition to the five general meetings each year, the PPP-LA
hosts the popular Western Regional Planned Giving Conference
and the PG101 introductory planned giving seminar.
